Application:

Manually applying adhesive material to bond various parts of the trailer in the assembly operation. Examples are:

Roof bows to top roof sheet metal

Sidewall sheet metal to wall studs and sheet metal joint sealing 

Material Used:

2 Component Epoxy,  1:1 Ratio

Equipment/Solution:

The equipment is dependent upon the material’s physical characteristics. In this case, the Epoxy material is 1:1 ratio, A to B. It is a thick material, in excess of 100,000 centipoise on each of the A and B components. 55-gallon open head drums supply the materials. The equipment used is an 8900 Proportioning System that includes the following:

·  8900 Proportioning module on a stand
·  (2) 55 gallon mounted checkmate pumps for feeding both parts A & B to the proportioning 
    system
·  2K gun with disposable mixers
·  All hoses, fittings, and pneumatic controls
