Case 19 - Single Component - Ambient

Type of User:

Tier 1 automotive supplier building door panel assemblies

Application:

Manually applying pressure sensitive ambient sealer to seal a plastic vapor barrier to the fiberboard inner door panel.  A pressure sensitive material used because if the technician performs repair work, he can re-apply the existing vapor barrier.

Material Used:

Ambient pressure sensitive sealer, approx 750,000 cps

Equipment/Solution:

Tandem 65:1, 2-post, 55-gal pumps complete with automatic crossover (970-019) were selected.  Hoses were connected to a 1 ¼” header to two spring operated mastic regulators.  15’ x ½” dispense hoses to Z swivels and Ultra Lite 6000’s were used for manually applying the sealer.
